Recessed Plate Filter Press
Recessed plate filter press is an intermittently operated filtration equipment for solid-liquid separation of various suspensions with good separation effect. This type of filter press utilises plates with grooves in them. The structure of chamber filter press is similar to that of plate and frame filter press, but the filter plate of chamber filter press is thicker than that of plate and frame filter press, thus it can withstand higher feed pressure, and chamber filter press consists of two identical filter plates.
When the two filter plates are pressurised to form a filter chamber, the feed hole is located in the centre of the plate, which is usually used for materials with large particles, such as sewage treatment, mineral processing, coal washing, etc.
Features

Advantages
Feeding through the centre hole allows for faster and more uniform filling of the chamber and reduces the risk of damage to the filter plate due to uneven pressure.
The concave chamber design allows for higher feed pressures and prevents the filter plate from bending under high pressure.
When using concave plates, the filter cake is easier to dislodge. When using a plate and frame filter press, the filter cake may not come off as quickly and may require more operations to remove.

Working Principle
The material is fed into the filter press through a feed pump, the solids are evenly distributed within the chamber, the solids begin to accumulate on the filter cloth and eventually form a cake on the cloth.
The filtrate normally flows out of the filter plates through the angle ports and into the manifold. When the correct valve in the manifold is opened, the filtrate leaves the filter press through the outlet.
As the pressure in the filter press increases, solids accumulate in the filter chamber until the cake is completely filled. When the chamber is full of cake, the fill cycle is complete. The filter press is then switched on, the filter press plates are moved and the filter cake falls into the filter cake hopper.

Filter plate introduction
Advanced filtration technology has been incorporated into the design of our filter plates. By combining the layout of pips and stay bosses, channel design, and the opening angle of drainage holes, we have enabled faster slurry filling with less impact on the filter plates and better slurry uniform distribution. This leads to quicker filtration with a thorough wash and a longer service life of the filter plate.
The filter plate material is a high-quality TPE elastomer combined with PP from Sinopec. It is both flexible like rubber and tenacious and rigid. The filter plate is shaped using a 4600-ton molding press and sized using press equipment. Finally, the filter plates are machined, drilled, or trimmed using a CNC milling machine. The planeness of the filter plate is below 25 μm, ensuring a tight seal to prevent slurry leakage.
Compared to other companies, Bright filter plate has a filtration speed that is 20% faster. Additionally, the density, strength, anti-fatigue, and anti-aging properties have all been improved twofold.
The feed pressure can reach up to 10 bars, while still being able to resist temperatures of up to 100℃.The filter plate has a curving strength of over 260 bars and features high temperature resistance, a good seal, excellent anti-corrosion properties, a shorter filtration cycle time, good washing results, and lower moisture content in the cake.
PP membrane plate
The filter plate is the central component of a filter press, and its quality is crucial to production efficiency. Our filter plates match the world's standards in terms of structural design, manufacturing processes, and product quality. We were also honored with the Shandong Patent Award for our patents. In 2006, we were granted utility model patents with numbers ZL 2005 2 0084475.X and ZL 2005 2 0084472.6.
The membrane plate comprises a core plate body and a membrane piece. The production of these components is crucial and directly affects the filter plate's service life. To guarantee optimal performance and a long service life, the membrane piece material is exclusively sourced from reputable suppliers, including PP and TPE. Bright membrane plates are welded using specially designed hot melting welding equipment. They can now compete with Lenser or JVK in terms of all performance indexes, even with membrane inflation pressure up to 40 bar. These plates feature high density, high machining accuracy, a rounded and smooth appearance, high anti-curving strength, high tensile strength, high shock resistance, high temperature resistance, and are anti-corrosive, odorless and colorless.
* Bright is specially equipped with inspection room for filter plates of which application is from different industry. We conduct various tests to determine shock resistance, elongation strength, elongation at break, curving strength, distortion temperature, and more. This allows us to optimize the recipe for the filter plate to meet the specific requirements of each client and their unique environment and slurry. The technical index for this membrane plate includes a tensile strength of up to 56mpa, elongation at break of 800%, machining accuracy (depth of parallelism) of ≤0.157mm, planeness of 0.012/100mm2, and a dimension tolerance of plate thickness of ±0.20mm. The machining accuracy class is G5. During testing, the membrane plate was subjected to 2.1 times the stated pressure. The diaphragm plate had no leakage or deflection when tested at 2.1 times the specified pressure.
